Financial Education

San Mateo Credit Union believes that an educated consumer makes wiser financial choices. Because we recognize the importance of financial education as a way to help our member-owners attain their financial goals, we practice a strong dedication to financial literacy. We dedicate full-time resources toward financial education—to members, consumers, local schools and community organizations in San Mateo County.

SMCU offers a wide variety of workshops and seminars to local schools and organizations on topics such as money management, budgeting, understanding credit, first-time home buying, and safeguarding against identity theft.
